The Small Business Sales Manager serves as the leader of our SMB Account Executive Team and is responsible for the leadership, recruiting, training and development of the SMB Team. The ideal candidate has proven success as a SMB sales executive who has proven results in cultivating referral channels through CPAs, Banks, Accounting Service Providers, and other referral sources. In addition, comes with a firm grasp of activity-based metrics, relationship building and what it takes to succeed so they can help our team do the same. We are looking for someone that has a passion for developing and coaching a team to perform to meet and exceed quota.


  • Coach, develop, support and lead a team of SMB Account Executives
  • Create strategic territory plans
  • Establish working relationships with referral channels and partner with the VP of Channel to cultivate circles of influence
  • Maintain and source performance reports from CRM (Salesforce)
  • Refine messaging, strategy and approach of SMB Account Executives
  • Work with the SMB Account Executives to strategize and establish best practices for sourcing leads from referral channels
  • Provide suggestions and guidance towards new tools to increase productivity
  • Monitor performance goals of each team member daily, weekly and monthly while providing ongoing feedback; Hold the team accountable for the goals that are implemented.
  • Provide formal and informal training to further support the growth of the team
  • Participate in team hiring initiatives as new team members are brought on board including interviewing and selection
  • Onboard and train new SMB Account Executives


  • 3+ years of SMB sales experience
  • 1+ years of player/coach or leadership experience
  • Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent experience
  • Proven success of sales development execution, motivation to meet and exceed sales goals
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce.com
  • Strong leadership skills including the ability/desire to mentor, coach and develop entry level team members
  • Strong prospecting skills; confident to make cold calls, ask for referrals, & seek new leads
