The HR Operations Specialist is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations, tasks, and projects of the HR Services team, ensuring our HR Partners have the resources to provide a seamless client experience.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Maintain HR Services administrative functions, ensure data integrity and keep the strictest of confidentiality with sensitive client information.
  • Organize and update MP's HR Services documents and forms to comply with current federal, state, and local legislation; ensuring internal voice, company branding and grammatical accuracy.
  • Create and manage electronic filing systems for all collateral and documents.
  • Write and edit documents from client correspondence to marketing collateral to forms and instructional documents.
  • Handle inbound client inquiries at Human Resources Partners (HRPs) request: identify needs, conduct research, provide HRP with appropriate info and support documents.
  • Ensure all HR Services documentation and marketing collateral follows established policies and procedures and complies with any relevant federal, state, or local legislation.
  • Proactively research and assist Human Resource Partners with nonroutine requests for information, with a focus on multi-state updates and policy interpretation.
  • Prepare and maintain special internal and external reports as requested by HRPs or immediate supervisor.
  • Conduct periodic audits of HR Services activities to ensure compliance with laws, policies, and procedures.
  • Assist HRPs in developing presentations and training sessions related to the assigned topic.
  • Stay abreast on all employee-related legislative and regulatory changes and/or developments and ensure changes to rules and regulations are restructured with HR systems, policies, articles, and practices.
  • Research changes in laws and regulations analyze their impact on the client's organization and communicate findings.
  • Provide support, as directed, to other cross-functional projects that support HR Systems and Operations initiatives as needed.
  • Participate in professional development sessions or seminars.
  • Work on special projects; perform any other tasks as assigned.

WHO YOU ARE:

  • BS/BA in Human Resources Management, Business, Psychology, or related field a plus
  • Experience working in a HR department strongly preferred with 1-2 years of experience, Co-op and internship experience will be considered.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in professional business writing and copywriting required.
  • Strong data entry, organizational, and other general office skills.
  • Skillful user of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; knowledge of HR systems and databases.
  • Experience with HR payroll/personnel software system(s); iSolved experience a plus.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and strict attention to detail.
  • Ability to use good judgement and keep client information confidential.
  • Self-motivated and able to work without supervision on multiple priorities and projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically and be a creative problem-solver.
  • Thrives in a high-pressure, ambiguous environment and able to manage multiple simultaneous priorities.
  • Possesses intellectual curiosity; brings insight into the team and business.
  • Acts as a team player who believes that no task or ask is too small or too big.
  • Delivers consistent excellent customer service to internal/external clients, colleagues, and management.
  • General knowledge of labor law and HR best practices; SHRM-CP or PHR Certification a plus.
